Beautiful Orange & Purple Colored 100% Pure Cotton Woven CHETTINARD/KANDANGI (This dupatta inspired by Chettinard/kandangi sarees. Kandangi is a type of saree made from silk threads in Tamil Nadu state of India.) Long Scarf/Dupatta. Central part of dupatta has lines design with woven work. Border of has multi color woven work with lines design is really enhancing beauty of the stole. You can see orange/purple fringes on both end of borders. Kandangi saris are characterized by their striking color combinations, tall borders (some of the saris are known to have borders covering about two-thirds of the sari), and the use of bold stripes and checks. Traditionally, the color palette was restricted to brick red, black and mustard, owing to the easy availability of mancatti or Indian madder and manjal or turmeric for dyes.
